Administering the pilot text test uses many skills, each of which must be applied properly to ensure the validity and reliability of the test. Subjects must be screened in order to establish that they are, in fact, speakers of the language you are testing. Consistent and correct application of the test procedure will make certain that each subject has had an equal chance to hear the text and answer the questions. Clear scoring criteria and processes will guarantee that answers are marked appropriately and without variation.
